Now we've done it! And
after 10 years, we're back in business - on this
new-fangled recording thing called "CD". Delusions
Of Competence is a limited-run, rare, and
collectable blend of our funniest "novelty-style" songs
to date. Many of the songs have been featured on the
nationally syndicated "Dr. Demento Show".
What's on it? Well
let's see...
Greg
Brady Wants Me
Dead
An
Axl
Christmas
Society of Sponges
No One Liked The Tuba
Dance The Onion
Cannibal House Guests
This Coffee Shop
Zamfir's Evil Twin
Almost Bored Enough
The older songs
included back on our 1991 cassette, Looks Like
Rain... Tastes Like Chicken, have been digitally
re-mastered. Their current relevance, however, may be
questionable. "Zamfir WHO?"
How do you get one?
Well, you have to name your children after us. No, just
kidding. Send $10 (that includes postage) to P.O. Box
184, Blackstone MA, 01504 (checks payable to Kevin
Eldridge).
Of course, we'll be
pawning these things endlessly at our shows and in person
- so find us - we'll take your money and laugh all the
way to the bank.
Oh, and by the way, we still haven't forgotten about a
full-length album of all-new, previously unreleased
material. Unless we think of something better (an
unlikely scenario, since we pretty much ran out of ideas
around 1992), the new SAF album will be called
Trendy Venture Percolates For Pair. But if
anyone can come up with a longer, clumsier title, let us
know and we'll jump on it. If you've been to our shows in
the last couple of years, you might know some of the new
songs to expect. Stuff like "As Stupid As You," "Class
Dismissed" (the junior high song), and "Araby."
There are also some older songs like "Have A Devious Day"
and "She's Got Items," which were never released and have
been floating around in SAF limbo for several years. And
we'll probably redo one or two classics from the first
album (including, of course, "Coffee
And Cartoons,"
a song we are doomed to record again and again for
eternity).
Look for our festive
new CD sometime in this millennium! Stay tuned to this
site for all the sorry details!
